Application

Xylenes (histological grade) can be used as a clearing agent in routine histology and cytology applications to remove paraffin from tissue section slides before staining.
It can be used in:

Cresyl violet staining.
Fluoro-Jade B staining process.
Giemsa cell staining protocols.
