General DescriptionCopolymers of 1-eicosene and ethene has been prepared using the methylaluminoxane activated dimethylsilanediyl(tetracyclopentadienyl) (tert -butylamido)-titanium dichloride catalyst system. It polymerizes in the presence of zirconocene and hafnocene catalyst to yield poly-1-eicosene.Application1-Eicosene was used in the synthesis of ( Z )-tetracos-5-enoic acid and racemic cis -4-(2-octadecylcyclopropane-1-yl)-butanoic acid.
