Cell Line Description
Initiated on 6th November 1987 from a biopsy of a 51 year old normal male. The cells have been used in radiation survival studies. EBV-transformed lymphocytes designated LB182 (Sigma Catalogue number. 98062317) have been isolated from the same individual. This has been confirmed by STR profiling at ECACC.

Culture Medium
EMEM (EBSS) + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 15% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculture Routine
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:2 to 1:4 i.e. seeding at 3-5x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
