It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups. 2’-Azido-2’-deoxycytidine is an azidonucleoside,and it should be phosphorylated twice to become an inhibitor of the nucleotide reductase.
