Preparation Method Reagents are tested and chosen for their ability to promote optimum growth of Escherichia coli when combined in 2xYT Broth formulations. Chosen reagents are combined in the accurate proportions according to the formula listed above and thoroughly blended for a uniform distribution. A sample of the blended formulation was used to prepare liquid. The combinations were mixed to dissolve components and then autoclaved at 121 °C for 15 minutes. Applications 2xYT-Broth is a nutritional rich medium providing nitrogen and growth factors optimized for the growth of recombinant Escherichia coli strains infected with the M13 bacteriophage or other filamentous single stranded DNA bacteriophages thus allowing the bacteriophage to reproduce in large quantities without exhausting the host cells. Product Description YT media formulations are optimized for the growth and maintenance of M13 phage or other filamentous ssDNA bacteriophages. Recommended Use Add 31 capsules per liter of purified water and autoclave at 121 °C for 15 minutes.
