Phosphoramidite technology is ideally suited for the modification ofsynthetic oligonucleotides with covalently attached reporter moieties,linkers, spacers, or haptens. Sigma-Aldrich provides popular reporters andlinkers ready to use for DNA/RNA synthesis machines such as β-cyanoethylphosphoramidites. 6-Fluorescein Phosphoramidite is one such label whose absorbance maxima is 496 nm and emission maxima is 520 nm.Key Features of 6-Fluorescein Phosphoramidite:
- 6-Fluorescein Phosphoramidite consists of one isomer derived from6-carboxy fluorescein
- Couples to the 5′-end of the oligonucleotide using standard synthesisprotocols
- Protecting groups on the fluorescein moiety are removed under standardconditions of cleavage and deprotection with concentrated ammonia
