ANTI-SNAP25 ANTIBODY PRODUCED IN RABBIT (C005B-323382)
General description Anti-SNAP25 antibody detects endogenous levels of total SNAP25 protein. The SNAP25 (synaptosome associated protein 25) gene is mapped to human chromosome 20p12.
General description
Anti-SNAP25 antibody detects endogenous levels of total SNAP25 protein.
The SNAP25 (synaptosome associated protein 25) gene is mapped to human chromosome 20p12.2. The encoded protein belongs to the family of SNARE (small ILF3/NF90-associated RNA E) complex.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human SNAP25.
Immunogen Range: 151-200
Biochem/physiol Actions
SNAP25 (synaptosome associated protein 25) protein is involved in extracellular trafficking and mediates the process of exocytosis and endocytosis by promoting fusion of vesicles with the plasma membrane. SNAP25 is needed for rapid excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmission of neurons producing glutamate and GABA (gamma aminobutyric acid).
