Bromo Cresol Purple Azide HiVegTM Broth For the confirmation of the presence of faecal Streptococci in water and waste water as per APHA by MPN technique. This medium is used for testing water samples, after preliminary testing of water samples in Azide Dextrose broth (M345). This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk. Appearance of powder: Beige colored, may have slightly greenish tinge, homogeneous, free flowing powder Color and Clarity: Purple colored, clear solution without any precipitate Reaction of 3.6% w/v aqueous solution is pH 7.0 ± 0.2 at 25°C Cultural characteristics observed after an incubation at 35 - 37°C for 24 - 48 hours
