Buffered Listeria Enrichment Broth Base (BLEB) is recommended by FDA Committee for enrichment in isolation of Listeria monocytogenes. This medium has Cycloheximide,Nalidixic acid and acriflavin suppresses growth of fungi and gram negative and gram-positive microorganisms. As per FDA protocol, for Listeria monocytogenes, colonies obtained on enrichment and isolation onto selective agars is purified on Tryptone Soya Yeast Extract Agar and then confirmed biochemically.
