C.L.E.D. HiVeg Agar with Andrade Indicator, 500G

C.L.E.D. HiVegTM Agar w/ Andrade Indicator is a differential medium recommended for isolation of all urinary pathogens. It is also recommended for dip stick procedures and as dip inoculum transport medium for urine specimens. This medium is prepared using vegetable defined peptone free from animal peptones, to avoid BSE/TSE risks associated with animal peptones. Application: For Isolation & Differentiation of Urinary Pathogens On The Basis of Lactose Fermentation Appearance of powder: Greyish yellow colored, may have slightly greenish tinge, homogeneous, free flowing powder Gelling: Firm, comparable with 1.5% Agar gel Color and Clarity: Greenish blue colored, clear to slightly opalescent gel forms in petri plates Reaction of 3.62% w/v aqueous solution is pH 7.5 ± 0.2 at 25°C Cultural characteristics observed after an incubation at 35-37°C for 18-24 hours
