General description

The C2BBe1 cells, a sublcone of Caco-2 cells, correspond to ATCC CRL-2101. The C2BBe1 cells are adenocarcinoma, epithelial cells from a human caucasian male (aged 72 years).

Application

The Engineered Control cells can be used for drug permeability assays. They may also be used as the control in conjunction with C2BBe1 Transporter Knockout cell lines for drug/transporter interaction studies.
