Dextrose Peptone Agar, 500G

Dextrose peptone agar is recommended for general cultivation of organisms. Peptone supplies amino acids, peptides etc. for the growth of the organisms. Dextrose is the energy source for the most of the organisms. The agar medium can be used as an excellent basal agar for the Glucose Blood agar preparation. Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes grows luxuriantlly on the media. This medium is recommended by AOAC for the routine cultivation purpose.
