One of the most important molecules in an organism is its genomic DNA.  Genomic DNA is found in every cell of an organism and carries all the necessary information required to make that organism.   This kit provides all the reagents required to visualize genomic DNA strands by a process known as spooling.  Students release the long strands of genomic DNA from bacteria and spool, or wind, them onto a rod.  This allows students to clearly visualize DNA.   Supplied with components needed for hands-on experimentation for six workstations of 4-5 students or 24-30 students.
