Drigalski lactose agar, modified is a non-selective, differential medium for the detection of enteric pathogens. Non-lactose fermenting (enteric) pathogens form blue to green colonies whereas lactose fermenting coliform organisms form yellow colonies due to acid production and decrease in pH.
