Application

Microfluidic generation of droplets can produce highly monodispersed droplets with high frequency (up to hundreds of kHz). Interest in droplet-based microfluidic systems has grown substantially, because microfluidics offers the ability to handle very small volumes (μl to fl) of fluids, provides better mixing, encapsulation, sorting, and sensing. Droplet generator chip - Droplet size variation, Fluidic 947, COC is made of COC (Cyclic olefin copolymer). The microfluidic chip Fluidic 947 features eight flow focusing droplet generator units to evaluate the formation of various droplet sizes. This chip accommodates the smallest nozzle size, as little as 10 μm and works well for experiments that require droplets with small dimensions and volumes. The inlet channels for both continuous and disperse phase are designed to enable stable droplet generation with a certain degree of flow restriction.
