This kit contains resources and experiments that can be used as part of a curriculum or adapted to meet the individual needs of your institution. The experiments are designed to: Develop skills in sample preparation. Generate an understanding of the most appropriate sampling technique to use for a variety of sample types. Demonstrate the value of using FT-IR spectroscopy in identification and verification of materials. Discuss potential sources of error in sample preparation and ways in which to improve spectral quality Also, the kit contains the IR Tutor CD, a multimedia program that provides an introduction to the theory of infrared spectroscopy and the interpretation of IR spectra.
