Gluconate Test Medium, 500G

Gluconate Test Medium is recommended for detection of gluconate oxidizing microorganisms. Organisms grows luxuriantlly on the medium and are checked for ability to oxidise gluconate. Pseudomonas and Klebsiella gives positive reaction showing color change from yellow to orange red precipitate. Benedicts reagent is added to check presence of potassium - ketogluconate in the medium.
