Hardened Low Ash Quantitative Filter Paper, Ahlstrom 388 Suitable for routine gravimetric analysis and typical preparation of samples for use in analysis involving instrumental techniques. Low ash grades have intermediate ash content between qualitative grades and ashless grades. Grade 388 is fast filtering and used for coarse and voluminous precipitates such as iron-, aluminum-, and chromium hydroxide; Si-determination in steel and pig iron analysis. Retention of 12-15 microns.
