The hinged paddle design and defined surface area creates a flexible solution to a variety of environmental monitoring needs. Food, dairy and beverage, medical device and personal care product manufacturers use the Hycheck paddle for surface monitoring in their production area to assess the nature and extent of the bioburden present. It is also useful for monitoring industrial fluids (cooling tower water, machine tool coolants and paper slurry) for bacteria to prevent a variety of ill effects including equipment damage, contact dermatitis, unpleasant odor, clogged nozzles and filters and contaminated/damaged product. Hycheck paddles are available in 7 media combinations, and the hinged paddle provides greater sampling flexibility. Paddles require no rehydration of the swab, no inoculating into the buffer and no transfer of buffer to plates. The economical Hycheck paddle replaces 2 swabs, 2 tubes of buffer and 2 culture media plates. The paddle gets the organism on the culture medium immediately, ensuring optimum recovery.
