Jacketed CHROMAFLEX® columns are provided with an acrylic water jacket to provide thermal control of temperature-sensitive chromatographic separations.  The acrylic jacket also acts as a safety shield.  Threaded Recommended sterilization is with ethylene oxide, 2N NaOH or 100% ethanol (autoclaving is not recommended) Columns are supplied complete with glass barrel, water jacket, two end fittings with 20 μm porosity HDPE bed supports, two screw caps, 5 feet (1.5 m) of FEP PTFE tubing (1/16” OD with 1.0 cm; 1/8” OD with 2.5 and 4.8 cm), two jacket sealing rings, two ¼”-28 flangeless tubing nuts and two flangeless ferrules Barrels are manufactured from 33 expansion, low extractable borosilicate glass conforming to USP Type I and ASTM E438, Type I, Class A requirements
