Leifson HiVeg Agar, 2.5KG

Leifson HiVegTM agar is recommended for the isolation of Salmonella and Shigella species. The medium allows differentiation of lactose fermenting bacteria such as Escherichia coli from non-lactose fermenting species such as Salmonella and Shigella species. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
