Lysing Matrix E 2 mL tubes have purple caps and contain 1.4 mm ceramic spheres, 0.1 mm silica spheres and one 4 mm glass bead. Used to grind soil, sediment, water, feces, sludge, compost and rhizosphere. Also effective in lysing mixed samples, such as microbe infected tissue; can be used in RNA extraction from tumors and other difficult tissues. For use on FastPrep instruments or any bead-beating device.
