Mycoplasma HiVeg Broth Base without CV (PPLO HiVeg Broth Base without CV), 500G

Mycoplasma HiVegTM Broth Base w/o CV(PPLO HiVegTM Broth Base w/o CV) with added enrichment supplement and horse serum or ascitic fluid is used for isolation and cultivation of Mycoplasma species (pleuropneumonia like organisms). This medium does not contain crystal violet. Most of the Mycoplasma species are aerobic or facultatively anaerobic but some are microaerophilic. Broth cultures on subculturing onto PPLO Agar, produce colonies exhibiting the typical morphology, i.e., fried egg appearance. Mycoplasma HiVegTM Broth Base w/o CV(PPLO HiVegTM Broth Base w/o CV) is prepared by using vegetable peptones in place of animal based peptones which make the media free of BSE/TSE risks.
