Oak Wilt Fungus HiVeg¢"¢ Agar is used for cultivation of Oak Wilt fungus. It supports good growth of Ceratocystis fagacearum. Malt extract, HiVeg peptone No.4 provides nutrients required for metabolism of the fungus. Synthetic detergent No. II restricts spreading of fungal colonies. The acidic pH of the medium favors the growth of fungus. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk. Application: For Enumeration of Salt tolerant Cocci in Brined Vegetables
