Adding an appropriate concentration of antibiotics to the cell culture medium can effectively prevent microbial contamination. At present, the most commonly used antibiotic is Penicillin-Streptomycin Solution (100×, Sterile), while Penicillin-Streptomycin-Kanamycin Solution (100×, Sterile) is a dedicated triple-antibiotic reagent for cell culture.Penicillin-Streptomycin-Kanamycin Solution (100×, Sterile) contains 10 KU/mL penicillin, 10 mg/mL streptomycin and 10 mg/mL kanamycin. Formulated in 0.9% NaCl or PBS and sterilized by filtration, it can be directly added to the cell culture medium for cell culture, and is capable of inhibiting the activity of Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria and mycoplasma. One package, i.e., 100 mL of 100× triple antibiotics, can be used to prepare 10 L of cell culture medium. This reagent is for research use only and is not suitable for clinical diagnosis or any other purposes.Operating Procedures (for reference only)Penicillin-Streptomycin-Kanamycin Solution (100×, Sterile) can be used by either of the following two methods:1.Direct addition to sterile cell culture medium: Add the Penicillin-Streptomycin-Kanamycin Solution (100×, Sterile) at a ratio of 5 mL per 500 mL of cell culture medium, and mix well before use.2.Addition during medium preparation followed by filtration sterilization: Add the Penicillin-Streptomycin-Kanamycin Solution (100×, Sterile) at a ratio of 10 mL per 1 L of cell culture medium during the preparation process. Sterilize the prepared medium by filtration before use.Precautions1.Minimize the number of freeze-thaw cycles to avoid activity reduction.2.Please use the reagent as soon as possible after opening to prevent adverse effects on subsequent experimental results.3.Follow strict aseptic technique to avoid contamination as much as possible.4.For your safety and health, wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.
