In these series, a very high density of the functional ligand, octyl molecule or C8, is achieved through meticulous mixture of the C8 with proprietary spacer molecules to ensure maximum coverage. These phases are very hydrophobic and are designed to tolerate usage in mildly aggressive pH conditions and high temperatures. SMT SAM-C8 columns are designed to withstand a pH range of 1-10. The columns are generally stable up to 50% better than other competitors used under similar conditions.
