Single, high-speed touch mixing provides reproducibility and eliminates operator variability. The Vortex-Genie 1 is supplied with a pop-off cup for use with tubes. Vortex-Genie 2™ Short, rapid, eccentric stroke of motor-driven head imparts either vortex motions or shaking action to vessels held in or against it Rheostat knob permits selection of gentle to vigorous shaking or low- to high-speed vortex action Control switch has positions Off and On, which produces continuous head motion, and touch, which causes the head to stop automatically when vessel is removed May be used in cold rooms and incubators Made in the USA The Vortex Genie 2 includes two heads: one rubber-topped platform head, 76 mm diameter, for general purpose use with tubes, flasks, beakers, etc. and one cup head, 25 mm i.d. x 22 mm deep, for single test tubes and other small vessels. Heads are interchangeable and snap in place without use of tools. For additional mixing heads, see 8294D35 series. Housing is coated cast iron, 156 x 121 x 165 mm high, with rubber feet. 8294D17 shaker has 3-wire cord and plug for 120 volts, 60 Hz. 8294D21 shaker is for 240 volts, 50 Hz; with 3-wire cord, but cord is without plug. ETL and CE listed. Vortex-Genie 2T™ The Vortex-Genie 2T incorporates the precise and reliable mixing action of the Vortex-Genie 2 with an integrated timer for increased convenience. Continuous mode operates from 1-60 minutes, and “Touch On” mode operates from 1-60 seconds. Untimed operation is also available. Variable speed control allows precise mixing from gentle shaking to vigorous vortexing. May be used in cold rooms and incubators. Made in the USA. The Vortex-Genie 2T is supplied with a pop-off cup and 3-inch (76mm) platform. Additional accessories are available to accommodate a range of vessels including microtubes and microplates.
