SSC Prehybridization Solution, 50 mL

Saline-Sodium Citrate Liquid Concentrate Used in protocols for Southern and Northern blots. SSC buffer is used in hybridization cocktails containing DNA and RNA probes for the analyiss of unknown sequences and to locate desired genes and gene fragments. The primary function of SSC is to provide high ionic strength to optimize the rate of probe annealing to the target nucleic acid. The 1X working solution can be easily prepared from the 20X liquid concentrate by diluting with distilled water.
