Wort HiVeg Broth, 500G

Wort HiVegTM Broth is used for the cultivation and enumeration of yeasts. The medium is formulated for the cultivation of fungi especially yeasts in syrups and butter. It is designed to propagate the multiplication of yeasts and often it has been employed as a semi-selective or enrichment medium. Wort HiVegTM Broth is prepared by using vegetable peptones in place of animal based peptones which make the media free of BSE/TSE risks. Application: For Cultivation & Enumeration of Yeasts Gelling: Firm, comparable with 1.5% Agar gel of MV129 Color and Clarity: Yellow colored, opalescent gel forms in petri plates, clear solution in tubes, may contain a flocculent precipitate Reaction of 4.83% w/v of MV129 or 3.33 % w/v of MV333 aqueous solution is pH 4.8 ± 0.2 at 25°C Cultural characteristics observed after an incubation at 30°C for 40-48 hours
